A huge MAZELTOV to all the Talmud Torah students who won prizes at the Talmud Torah prize giving at the end of 2017. Attached are photos of the perservering and of all the winners who won gift vouchers.

All those who attended the prize giving got the opportunity to make their own dreidel and they received chocolate channukah gelt.
All of the winners were deserving of their prizes and they worked very hard, as do all the students.

The winner of the two tickets to go to Israel was a very deserving Leah Droyman. We look forward to hearing about all of her adventures in Israel when she returns.

The Talmud Torah teachers are blessed to be able to teach such wonderful students who all come to the lessons enthusiastic to learn and to grow in their knowledge and participation in Judaism. We all love teaching the students, and we want to thank the parents again for sending their children.

The Talmud Torah lessons, as well as Rabbi Garber’s excellent learning sessions on mishna and Chumash start again in 2018 when school starts. These lessons are enjoyed by all who attend and we encourage students and their parents to come and join in the learning. Talmud Torah has excellent printed material to use in the lessons and everyone has a lot of fun learning with Rabbi Garber who is such an excellent teacher.

We said a sad farewell to Dedee Levi who is one of our excellent teachers whom everyone loves. Dedee’s husband has been  transferred to Johannesburg and we are all going to miss her and we wish her everything of the best in Johannesburg. The Talmud Torah staff and students will all miss her.
